I saw this movie today and absolutely LOVED it!  It is the best movie I've seen in a long time, and some of the best acting I have seen also.  There are no well-known actors in the movie but it is so good, you don't even miss them.  The story is about a young Irish girl (maybe 20?) who can't find a decent job in Ireland, so she leaves her mother and sister and sails to the United States where a priest has found her a job in an exclusive department store in Brooklyn....hence. the name of the movie. She lives in a boarding house with other young women and you watch her try to "fit in" and all the trials and tribulations she goes through.  Then she is called back to Ireland for a wake.  Will she return to the United States or not??  Go see the movie and find out.  You will laugh and you will cry.  You don't want to miss this one.
